EDAS provides access to the Eastern Metropolitan Region, specialist Alcohol and Other Drug/Acquired Brain Injury (AOD/ABI) Clinical Consultant. There is one AOD/ABI Clinical Consultant in each Health Service Region of Victoria, which are funded by the Department of Health (DOH).

The AOD/ABI Clinical Consultant provides specialist services to the drug and alcohol sector regarding issues related to ABI.

The AOD/ABI service can provide:

·         Secondary consultations to clinicians;

·         Primary consultations with clients (i.e. treatment planning or conducting ABI screens);

·         Referral and service advice;

·         Provision of information and education on ABI and AOD issues;

·         Direct provision of client episodes of care.
